Shred Day offers a secure\, convenient way to destroy documents you no longer need while giving you peace of mind. \nWhat Should You Bring to Shred?\nAs a general rule\, if a document includes personal or financial information\, it should be shredded once you no longer need it. Common items to bring include: \n\nOld bank and credit card statements\nPaid bills and invoices\nJunk mail with your name or account details\nMedical statements and insurance paperwork\nTax documents that are past their recommended retention period\n\nOnly paper documents should be included. Please remove binders\, folders\, and non‑paper items before arriving. \nHow Long Should You Keep Important Documents?\nKnowing what to keep and what to shred can be confusing. The meeting will be held in the ACU DuPont Training Room – Suite 280\, second floor. \nBoard Elections: \nPosition #1: Thad Collard (3 Year Term) \nThad Collard is a Brigadier General with the U.S. Army Reserve and a Supervisory Health System Administrator for Madigan Army Medical Center. \nHe graduated with a BS in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California and was commissioned as an Army Medical Service Corps Officer. While serving on active duty at Fort Carson\, Colorado\, he also earned a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He attended the resident Army War College and earned a Master’s in Strategic Studies. \nThad has served in the Army and Army Reserve for more than 28 years and has held command and staff positions at every level. He has been mobilized in the U.S. and deployed to Afghanistan. Thad has held numerous positions in property\, business and healthcare management for more than 20 years. \nThad served on the ACU Supervisory Committee for over 10 years and has served on the Board of Directors since 2023. \nPosition #2: Colleen Oczkewicz (3 Year Term) \nColleen Oczkewicz is a Board-Certified Public Accountant. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Saint Martin’s College and MBA from Seattle University. \nCurrently\, Colleen holds the position of Chief Financial Officer of the South Sound YMCA where she has served in that role since 2012. Prior to joining the YMCA\, her experience was primarily in the manufacturing setting. She held a variety of positions with PACCAR\, including acting as the Assistant Plant Controller for Kenworth Truck Company’s Renton factory. She also served as the Plant Controller for Spring Air Northwest. \nShe is a Washington native and proud parent of a U.S. Air Force Academy cadet.

DESCRIPTION:Members will be excited to learn that the ACU Car Sale is back for 2024! Once again\, we will be partnering with our friends at Titus Will Automotive and they promise to bring a wide variety of used vehicles to choose from. If you have not had a chance to attend the car sale in the past\, it’s a great place to be if you are ready to make a good deal. The cars and trucks available are hand-picked and priced to move. There will also be food and drinks to keep shoppers comfortable as well as salespeople and ACU Finance to help move things along smoothly\, once you find your perfect ride. \nThe weekend kicks off on Friday\, July 26\, from 12:00pm to 9:00pm\, then it’s Saturday the 27th\, from 9:00am to 8:00pm\, and Sunday the 28th\, from 9:00am to 6:00pm. \nBeing a member with ACU has always been about more than money. Sharing the joy of a first car purchase or getting approved to upgrade to a larger car is precisely that – an experience that transcends money.
