DESCRIPTION:Jun 28 2025\n\n*Non-DoD ID cardholders\, without a DoD sponsor in the vehicle\, must register online before entry. Due to limited parking around the event\, the general public are encouraged to use DuPont Gate\, park at the satellite parking area and take the shuttle to the event site. \nAccess Requirements Video \nVisitor pre-registration link coming in 2025\n  \n \nAfter a few years hiatus\, festival goers are revved up and ready to celebrate. Freedom Fest is returning to JBLM! On Saturday\, June 28\, revel in a full day of pre-Fourth of July festivities at Cowan and Memorial Stadiums. \n\nFirst up\, the Freedom Wheels Car Show\, will be steering crowds toward automotive admiration. Displayed throughout the day\, cars brought in from community members will vie for coveted awards\, which will be announced later in the afternoon. \n \n\nFreedom Fest attendees can also expect roving entertainers such as juggling clowns and balloon artists\, carnival rides\, food trucks\, vendor booths\, free bounce houses and on-stage entertainment. On the kids’ stage\, you’ll find it tricky to hold back your “oohs and aahs” during the magic show and have plenty of fun during the interactive game show. On the main stage\, take in live music including performances by America’s First Corps Band and the event’s headliner band.  \nCarnival\nThe carnival is back! They’ll have eight to ten major rides\, as well as six kiddie rides and two game booths. \nTicket Cost: Start at 60¢ each\, but drop in price the more you buy. Rides cost between 12-13 tickets each. \n \nFreedom Wheels Car Show\nMemorial Stadium\n11 a.m.-4 p.m.\n  \n \nMain Stage\nSchedule coming in 2025 \nNote: There are no chairs available for the concert\, please bring your own lawn chair if needed (one per person). \n \n10:15 p.m. FIREWORKS \n  \nPARKING AREAS | SATELLITE PARKING\n  \nAccess Information\nNon-DoD ID card holders\, ages 18 and older\, attending the event without a DoD ID card holder sponsor in the vehicle must be vetted online prior to attending the event. Shortly after submitting the form\, you should receive a text message confirming or denying your access to the event. The driver’s license used during submission will become your Freedom Fest event pass\, valid for the event only. Visitor Pre-Registration Link coming in 2025 \nAttending with your family? A separate registration for each individual is not necessary. You can add your other attendees to your registration\, by hitting “Add Attendee.” \nAll adults 18 years and older will have their government-issued ID scanned at the gate prior to admission to the event. (Ages 17 and younger do not have to show ID.) \nThere is a Real ID Act exemption for Freedom Fest; a regular WA state driver’s license will suffice for access. \nForeign nationals will require a DoD ID card holder sponsor and must stop at the Visitor’s Center before proceeding to the event. \nWhile riding the shuttle bus to the event site is no longer required for the general public\, parking is limited around the event. Due to this\, we will offer free rotating buses from the DuPont Gate satellite parking area to the event site. After enjoying the event\, return to the bus drop off point and catch the bus back to your vehicle.  \nQuestions about access to the event? Please email usarmy.jblm.imcom.list.des-aie@army.mil \nJoint Base Lewis-McChord is a U.S. Government federal installation. \nLaw enforcement will be present\, and everyone will be subject to search. Prohibited items found will be confiscated and will not be returned. Also\, no political activity (campaigning\, handing out literature\, etc.) is allowed. Finally\, no social protests or demonstrations are allowed on a DoD military installation. \nPROHIBITED ITEMS: \n\nNO DRUGS: Marijuana and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on Federal installations.\nNO CONCEALED WEAPONS: JBLM does not recognize any concealed weapons permits.\nNO WEAPONS: Knives (of any sort or size)\, firearms (regardless of credential or CWP)\, scissors\, tasers\, stun guns\, pepper spray/mace\, pocket tools\, box cutters\, nunchakus\, batons\, toys that resemble guns\, laser pointers\, fireworks\, ammunition\, etc. \nNO WHEELS: Skateboards\, skates\, rollerblades\, Heelys\, scooters\, bikes\, hoverboards\, Segways\, electric unicycles\, Onewheels\, and the like are not permitted. \nNO PETS: Exception – Medical Service Dogs (harnessed and leashed) and Military Working Dogs. Emotional Support Animals are not considered service animals.\nNO OUTSIDE FOOD: Food\, coolers\, cans/bottles\, glass containers\, alcohol or liquids are not permitted. Exception – baby food.\nNO LARGE BAGS: Bags may be either clear stadium-approved plastic tote bags (not to exceed 12” x 12” x 6”) or school-size backpacks (not to exceed 20” x 15”). Exceptions: oxygen tanks.\nNO LARGE LAWN CHAIRS: Standard-sized folding camping chairs are allowed but must be out of bags when searched.\nNO TENTS\, POP-UP CANOPY\, AWNINGS or LARGE GOLF/BEACH UMBRELLAS: Exception – standard umbrellas not exceeding 40” (when opened) are allowed.\nNO DRONES\, FLYERS OR RADIO EQUIPMENT: Remote control aircraft\, all flying/bouncing objects\, balloons\, spray paint and silly string are not permitted.\nNO SMOKING except in designated areas. No marijuana vape concentrate.\nNO SELFIE STICKS \n\nPERMITTED ITEMS: \n\nWATER: Water in store-bought\, unopened/sealed clear plastic bottles\, empty refillable drink containers\, and empty hydration pack (i.e.\, CamelBaks) are allowed. \nSTROLLER\, WHEELCHAIRS\, ETC: Wheelchairs\, walking aids\, strollers and wagons are allowed. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, Dec. 2\, experience stage entertainment and participate in karaoke on the stage. Refreshments also will be available for purchase on-site Dec. 2. \nMenu: \n\nWinter Pancakes – $8\nGerman Sausage – $9\nGluehwein\, canned beer\, malts – $5\nHot Chocolate -$3\nWater/Soda – $2\n\nThe Fest Tent is at 2200 Liggett Ave.\, Lewis Main. \nTrees for Troops: Reservations will be required for all valid ID card holders and families with ranks E-5 and below.  Service members or family members will need to come to the Northwest Adventure Center (Lewis North) or Adventures Unlimited (McChord Field) during regular business hours prior to Dec. 1 to receive a tree pickup reservation time.  All trees will be given out on Saturday\, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the parking lot of N. 12th & Liggett Avenue (across the street from the MWR Fest Tent).  Face coverings and social distancing is required if you plan on leaving your vehicle to pick up a tree.

DESCRIPTION:Come out and join us as we honor our Veterans at the 2nd Annual wear blue Veterans Day Run with unique distances of 11-Miles\, 11K\, 5K and 1.1K on Saturday\, Nov. 11. The 1K starts at 10:45 a.m.\, followed by the 11-Miler\, 11K and 5K at 11 a.m.\, along with entertainment and activities for the family! \n11-Miler\, 11K & 5K \n\nCost: $36\nE-1 to E-4: $30\n\n1.1K \n\nCost: $12\nE-1 to E-4: $10\n\nOnline registration closes Tuesday\, Nov. 7. Day of Race registration will take place onsite between 8:45-9:45 a.m. All three courses are mainly flat\, out-and-back courses on Lewis North.\nPacket pickup will take place on Lewis North inside the Wilson Sports & Fitness Center (11596 D St.) on Friday\, Nov. 10\, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (or day of 8:45-9:45 a.m.) \nPackets will consist of the following: \n\nEvent T-Shirt\nCustom Bib\n\nParticipants will receive a custom medal after they cross the finish line!\nParticipants who register by Oct. 20 will be guaranteed a T-shirt at packet pickup.
