Tumwater Grand Opening Celebrates Community, Partnership, and Purpose

On Thursday, September 18, we proudly celebrated the Grand Opening of our new Tumwater branch with a vibrant community event that highlighted local partnerships, heartfelt giving, and the spirit of People Helping People.

The event featured dual ribbon cutting ceremonies hosted by both the Tumwater Chamber of Commerce and the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce, marking a significant milestone in our continued growth and commitment to serving the South Sound region.

A special moment during the celebration came from Troy Kyle, ACU President, who delivered a moving speech about the lifelong impact credit unions have had on him personally. He shared his passion for the credit union movement and his excitement to continue spreading the message of People Helping People through meaningful service and community engagement.

The ACU Foundation further demonstrated that commitment by presenting a $2,500 donation to TOGETHER!, a local nonprofit working to advance the health and success of youth and families in our region.

We were honored to be joined by Tumwater Mayor Debbie Sullivan, who welcomed us to the city and spoke about the importance of collaboration and community investment.

Guests enjoyed delicious catering from Masonry Café, along with a variety of entertainment including games, a Cash Cube/Hurricane Machine, and live music by local artist Kage Dallas, whose performance brought energy and excitement to the celebration.

The event also marked the Grand Opening of Weichert Realtors, Reynolds Real Estate, who celebrated the launch of their new office located inside our Tumwater branch. We’re proud to share this space with a partner equally committed to serving the needs of our growing community.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and helped make the day so memorable. We’re thrilled to be part of the Tumwater community and look forward to building strong, lasting relationships in the years ahead.
