Wear Blue: Run to Remember – Honoring Service, Right Where It Began

On Friday, December 12, 2025, America’s Credit Union welcomed our community into the DuPont Headquarters lobby for Capturing Honor, a pop‑up photo gallery and reception celebrating Wear Blue: Run to Remember — an organization born here in DuPont and dedicated to active remembrance of our military’s service and sacrifice.

It was a powerful homecoming. The organization’s founder, Lisa, was with us in person, sharing her journey and the DuPont roots of wear blue — reminding everyone that what began as a local act of remembrance has grown into a nationwide movement that connects, heals, and honors.

A DuPont legacy of remembrance

Wear blue started in DuPont in 2009 and has since built a community of runners, families, and supporters who memorialize the fallen and support those who serve. Its mission — honoring the service and sacrifice of the American military through active remembrance — guided the evening and the artwork on display.

In partnership with the DuPont Chamber of Commerce and the City of DuPont, ACU hosted Capturing Honor in our lobby on Friday, December 12, bringing together members, families, and local leaders for an intimate showcase of images from the Marine Corps Marathon that reflect remembrance, connection, and community.

As a President’s Circle partner of the DuPont Chamber of Commerce, ACU was honored to help present awards and welcome guests to a space designed for reflection and gratitude.

Thank you to our partners

This reception was organized by the DuPont Chamber of Commerce — with special thanks to Portland Williams, Executive Director of the Chamber, for bringing forward the proposal and working closely with our team to make the evening possible.

We also thank the City of DuPont and the volunteers from wear blue who helped curate and share stories behind the images.

Keep the momentum going

ACU is proud to support the military community we serve. We’ll continue partnering with the Chamber and wear blue on events that honor service and strengthen our local connections. If you’d like to learn more about upcoming community events, watch our website and social channels for updates.
